Targeted for the rider with little or no experience taking their Adventure bike off road, this course will arm you with necessary skills and techniques required to start tackling the demands of Adventure Riding. Even experienced riders will benefit from the Introductory course as it cements and confirms your already establish experience. Even the best professionals go back to basics to ensure they are doing it right.

These skills will create a base line for you to further develop a fluid control over your bike so it becomes a natural extension of your body, giving you the ability to put the bike where you want it, with confidence.

This 6 hour course is conducted in a controlled environment and will guide you through

  • Bike setup
  • Balance
  • Mental approach & strength
  • Body position – various positions to suit the terrain
  • Fatigue management
  • Understanding electronic rider aids such as Traction Control & ABS brakes etc.
  • Control of clutch, throttle & brakes. Includes drills you can take away and practice.
  • Foot peg weighting for effective and safe cornering on various surfaces
  • Slow speed riding control

 

The Introductory course is generally held on the first Sunday of the month but can be arrange for others times. Call to discuss your requirements. Start time is 8:30am at the Tepon Raceway, Flaggy Creek road, Wondecla. Participant numbers are kept low (4) to ensure that all riders receive adequate feedback.

The Quandary Adventure Rider Skill Set also offers a Women only Introductory training course so that you can comfortably enter, or re-enter off road training or riding.

The cost of the course is $220. Morning tea is provided including snacks, tea, coffee and water. Please read the Information page and the terms and conditions prior to booking. You will be required to sign a copy of the terms and conditions before commencing the course.
